Figures from Statistics NZ today show unemployment fell 0.2 percent to 3.7 percent for the June quarter. New Zealand now has the lowest unemployment rate in the OECD.
While both male and female employment rose, most of the movement was driven by a rise in female full-time employment.
The working-age population increased by 8,400 in the quarter but growth is slowing. This is due in part to lower immigration numbers.
