The NZIS has published details of this fortnight’s selection of applicants in the Skilled Migrant Category.
The following EOIs were selected:
- 400 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 140 or above.
- 105 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included points for offers of skilled employment or current skilled employment in New Zealand.
- 72 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included 15 points for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage.
- 19 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included 10 points for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage.
- 44 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 105 or more but less than 140, and included 10 points for a qualification in an area of absolute skill shortage
A total of 640 applications - representing 1,431 people - were selected. These applicants will now undergo preliminary checks.
474 out of the 640 of the applications were from people with job offers or a job.
