The NZ Immigration Service has released details of this fortnight’s selection of applicants in the Skilled Migrant Category.

EOIs which met the following selection criteria were selected:

  • 348 EOIs were selected with 140 points or more.
  • 65 EOIs were selected with a job or a job offer and claiming points between 100 and 135 points.
  • 81 EOIs were selected claiming 15 points for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage and claiming total points between 100 and 135 points.
  • 28 EOIs were selected claiming 10 points for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage and claiming total points between 100 and 135 points.
  • 96 EOIs were selected claiming 105 or more but less than 140, and included 10 points for a qualification in an area of absolute skill shortage.
  • 132 EOIs were selected claiming 115 or more but less than 140. These EOIs did not claim points for offers of skilled employment or current skilled employment in New Zealand, work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage or for a qualification in an area of absolute skill shortage.

A total of 750 applications – representing 1,774 people – were selected. These applicants will now undergo preliminary checks.

382 out of the 750 of the applications were from people with job offers or a job.
