Latest figures from the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand show New Zealand’s median house price fell from $330,000 to $327,000 between November and December 2006.
- House prices are 9 percent higher than one year ago.
- Sales of properties increased from 6,360 in January 2006 to 7,566 in January 2007.
REINZ President Murray Cleland said:
“January tends to be a rather fragmented month and it is not uncommon to see the median price dip a little.”
Six out of the New Zealand’s twelve regions reported price rises in December, four reported falls and two were unchanged.
