Until today all New Zealanders were entitled by law to three weeks of paid holidays per year plus 11 days of public holidays.

From today onwards the legal minimum is four weeks holidays (plus public holidays).

There is further good news for minimum wage workers. The legal minimum wage for adult workers in New Zealand increases today from $10.25 to $11.25 per hour.
