The government has increased many of the fees charged for the immigration process.

The new fees will be charged on any applications submitted after July 30.

For overseas applicants (other than from the Pacific/Sydney), the cost of submitting an online Expression of Interest rises from $300 to $400. Paper EOI fees rise from $460 to $500. The fee for applying for a Residence Visa rises from $1,500 to $1,800.

For applications made from within New Zealand, the cost of submitting an online Expression of Interest rises from $300 to $400. Paper EOI fees rise from $460 to $500. The fee for applying for a Residence Permit rises from $800 to $1,400.
